Manual Entry
Simple daily hour entry. Employee enters total hours worked each day. Perfect for roles with flexible schedules or remote work.
Streamlined time tracking for office and shift workers with smart hour validation, work-window controls, and student-visa compliance.
HR Nexus supports different timesheet entry methods for different worker types. Office workers can log hours manually or via time-to-time entry. Shift workers have their hours automatically populated from completed shifts. Project-based workers can track time against billable projects for accurate client invoicing — all with full control over work windows, maximum hours, and overtime policies.
Pick the entry style that fits each worker type — office, shift, field, or project-based — without forcing everyone through one workflow.
Simple daily hour entry. Employee enters total hours worked each day. Perfect for roles with flexible schedules or remote work.
Clock in/out entry. Employee records start and end times. System automatically calculates total hours worked minus breaks.
Integration with time-tracking systems or device-based tracking. Hours automatically pulled from existing time-machine records.
Hours automatically filled from completed shifts in the scheduling system. Employee reviews and confirms — no manual entry needed.
Track time against billable projects with task and phase allocation. Integrates with billing and project costing for accurate client invoicing.
Four purpose-built controls that catch the payroll edge cases every HR team has to manage every single week.
Set the accepted work window for each employee or team. For example, define work hours as 8 AM to 6 PM. Any time entries outside this window will be captured but the time calculation will start and end within the window. Flexibility is built in — override work windows for individual employees based on role requirements.
Define maximum payable hours per day and per week. If an employee clocks 8.5 hours but the daily maximum is 8 hours, the system will default to 8 hours as payable (unless overtime is allowed for that employee). Prevents overpayment and maintains accurate payroll.
Enable or disable overtime at the organisational level or per individual employee. When overtime is disabled, the system caps hours at the daily/weekly maximum. When enabled, hours beyond the maximum are tracked separately for overtime pay calculations.
Automatically limit work hours for student visa holders to 48 hours per fortnight during study periods. The system tracks these hours separately and flags any breaches. Students on holiday periods can override this limit by uploading a letter from their education institution.
Six configuration surfaces cover every rule your HR team needs to enforce — each independently overridable per employee or team.
Set start and end times (e.g. 8 AM–6 PM). Configure per employee or team. Easy override for flexible roles.
Define maximum hours per day and per week. Automatically applied unless overtime is approved for the employee.
Allow or disallow overtime globally or per employee. Separate tracking for overtime hours and pay calculations.
Set 48-hour fortnightly limits automatically. Allow students to upload holiday letters for override approval.
Configure automatic break deduction per shift length. Manual adjustment where needed.
Approved timesheets sync automatically to payroll systems. Separate overtime for payroll calculations.
